Quote app for tradespeople
Your quotes, done on the spot and worked out to the cent.
Metrado is quoting software and a quote app for tradespeople, building firms, technicians and the self-employed: create professional quotes for your customers on your phone or computer, simply. Prices are in euros, with VAT and, in Spain, IRPF.
Sign up with your first name and email, no password. Your first 3 quotes are free, no card needed.
Four ways to create your quotes
Start wherever suits you, on site or in the office: you then check and finish the quote in the same simple editor.
Dictate a quote
Describe the job out loud, the way you’d explain it to a colleague on site: Metrado suggests lines and you check them before they are added. No typing on a small screen.
Photograph or import a quote
Start from a paper quote, a photo or a PDF: the document is read and the original stays on screen for comparison.
From photos of past work
Pick photos of your jobs and past work: they go inside the quote or into an appendix, in the order you like.
Manual entry
Line by line, from your catalogue of labour, materials and services with your own rates, or by duplicating an earlier quote for a repeat customer.
What you get
A PDF with your branding
Your logo, your colour and 4 professional templates; each quote in English, Spanish or French, in your customer’s language.
Amounts exact to the cent
VAT by rate, discounts, deposits and, in Spain, IRPF withholding are calculated by an exact engine, never by the AI, and totals update in real time. Anything missing stays “to confirm”.
Your project plans as an appendix
A project plan, as a PDF or an image, is attached to the quote and printed as an appendix after its pages.
Works without a signal
Create and edit quotes offline: they are saved on the device and synced as soon as you are back online. Dictation and document reading need the internet.
Installs like an app
No app store needed: install it on Android, iPhone and computers straight from the browser, with the same tool on every device.
You stay in control
No quote leaves without an action from you: email, link, share menu or printout. Your customers, quotes and photos are only visible to your business.
Pricing
3 free quotes, no card needed. Then packs of 10 quotes (€12 + VAT), 30 quotes (€29 + VAT) or 100 quotes (€79 + VAT), with no subscription or monthly fee: only finalised quotes use credits. Credits never expire: 1 credit = 1 quote marked “Ready to send”.
Frequently asked questions
How do I quote a job on my phone?
Quoting on your phone is simple: open Metrado in your phone’s browser or install the app on your home screen. It is built for the trades and for mobile use, on site or at home, and it also runs on a computer. Pick one of four ways to start: dictate the job, photograph a paper quote, start from photos of past jobs or add the line items by hand. Check each item and its price, set the quote to “Ready to send” and get it to your customer as a PDF by email, link or your phone’s share menu. Then track the reply on your dashboard and mark the quote accepted when your customer says yes.
Pricing: how much does the quote app cost?
Pricing is simple: the first 3 quotes are a free trial, no card needed, and every feature is included. After that you buy packs of 10 quotes (€12 + VAT), 30 quotes (€29 + VAT) or 100 quotes (€79 + VAT). It is quoting software with no subscription and nothing to pay each month: you buy a pack in the month you need one, and a month without new jobs costs your business nothing. Credits never expire, so there is no time limit and nothing is lost from one month to the next. Only finished quotes use a credit; drafts, dictation and changes cost nothing. Payment is made securely through Stripe, with a VAT invoice.
Can Metrado create invoices?
No. Metrado is quoting software, not an invoice app: its job ends when your customer receives the PDF quote. For invoicing and payments, including turning an accepted quote into an invoice, keep your usual tools or your accountant for that side of the admin.
Does it work without a signal?
Mostly, yes. You can write, edit and look up quotes with no signal, on the job, in a basement or in the van: your business data is saved on the device, and changes are synced the next time you are online. Three things wait for a connection: dictation, reading documents and marking a quote “Ready to send”. The app shows when you are offline.
Who sets the prices, me or the AI?
You do. Amounts come from an exact calculation engine, never from the AI, using the price and quantity you enter or confirm for each item, and they update in real time. When the AI suggests lines from a dictation or an imported document, it never invents a price, quantity or VAT rate: any gap is flagged “to confirm”, left out of the total, and the quote cannot be finalised until you fill it in. VAT, other taxes and totals are accurate to the cent.
Do I need to download it from an app store?
No. There is no software to download from a store, it is free to install and easy to set up: Metrado is built to run in the browser and installs like a mobile app on Android and iPhone, and on computers, without the App Store or Google Play. You get the same tool, features and access to your account and data on every device, so you can manage your quoting at home, on the job or between jobs.
What features are included?
Every quoting feature for your trade, from day one, free trial included. To build quotes: dictation, reading paper quotes and PDFs, photos of past jobs, and a catalogue of labour and material items that works as your price list. For the PDF: 4 professional templates (add your logo and colour), your company details, payment terms and bank details (IBAN) so your customer knows how to pay you, plus project plans as an appendix. For the sums: VAT, discounts and deposits, calculated for you. Sending and follow-up: email or link, and a dashboard to track quotes awaiting a reply, accepted or expired. Not included: invoices, job management and scheduling. The free trial is the same app with the same features.
Quoting app vs Word or Excel template: how is it different?
Word or Excel templates and other desktop software work at a desk; on site, on a phone, those templates soon get awkward. A quoting app built for the trades keeps your items and pricing in one place, works out VAT and deposits for you, keeps working without a signal and gets a professional PDF to your customer straight from the job or the van. There is no retyping at the office in the evenings: less admin and paperwork for small businesses at the end of the day, and more time for the job itself.
Which trades is it built for?
Whatever your trade: electricians, plumbers, builders, decorators, carpenters, kitchen fitters, heating engineers, landscapers, cleaners, maintenance technicians and other tradespeople, sole traders and small businesses who quote for jobs every week, from electrical and plumbing work to building and construction projects. It is a quoting tool for your trade business, not full job management software: it does not handle invoicing, accounting or scheduling.
Can I use it in the UK?
Not for jobs priced in pounds: Metrado quotes in euros (and Swiss francs), with VAT presets for Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Portugal that you confirm in your company details. There is no pound sterling option and no UK VAT preset. It does suit British tradespeople working in those countries, for example in Spain, and each quote can be in a different language for your customer: English, Spanish or French.
Can I use my own items and pricing?
Yes. Catalogue management is included: keep the labour, materials and services of your trade in a catalogue that works as your price list, with your own pricing, and add them to any job as line items. For repeat customers or similar jobs, duplicate a previous quote and edit just what differs: it saves time and makes repeat work easy.
Can other businesses see my data?
No other business on Metrado can see your data or your customers’ details: each business’s data is kept separate. Nothing is sent to your customers without an action from you. The service providers involved (hosting, document reading, dictation transcription) are listed in the privacy policy and the terms of use.
